The Small Town of Kingstree, South Carolina

Last weekend, I had the opportunity to explore the cute little town of Kingstree, South Carolina. Kingstree is located between Charleston and Florence, South Carolina. I am so blessed to have the store, Bee Hive Gifts on Main Street carry my line of Letter Décor paintings. The owners of the store, both Ms. Virginia and Ms. Beth are such sweet ladies who always are super friendly. I was able to drop some more paintings off at their cute 'lil boutique and the ladies were nice enough to allow me to take a couple of shots. Enjoy!

A Day in Downtown Charleston...

This past Saturday,  I took some time to relax and go explore beautiful downtown Charleston. As I walked around with my camera, I took snapshots of interesting parts of the charming city. One of my most favorite places to go is right near East Bay Street where there are some pastel colored homes right next to one another. The homes are historically known as  Rainbow Row. It's a must-see if you ever visit the area!

London Anyone?

My wonderful cousin, Jessi, came to visit me here in Charleston and we were able to do a mini photo shoot with a custom made Letter Décor piece I did for her. Jessi travels all around the world modeling and living her dream. One of her most absolute favorite places  is London. I created a simple black and white piece that was fun and perfect for her to place in a room in her London Flat. We had a lot of fun spending time together and enjoying touring the beautiful city of Charleston, South Carolina.

Heal the Past...

This is a painting I did a little while ago. It's actually one of my favorites thus far. I love the phrase that my friend's grandmother came up with. This is a phrase that we all should live by. Luckily, I was able to get her painting done right in time for her birthday. What a great custom order!

Letter Décor for Baby Sofie!

Holly, a wonderful friend of mine, is having her first child. Her name is Sofia Elizabeth ("Sofie Beth" for short). I decided to surprise Holly with a custom made piece for her baby girl. The baby's nursery is decorated with soft hues of pink and lavender. So, the painting matches the room perfectly!

Holly and I went to the University of South Carolina together and I was her freshman Resident Advisor. She was one of my favorite residents. I am so excited about her becoming a new mom!

Lowcountry Love...

This past Saturday I had quite a bit of fun. I traveled to various parts of the lowcountry searching for some new boutiques and galleries that were interested in my Letter Décor artwork. I met some really cool people in the process! I went to Beaufort, Lady's Island and St. Helena's Island and just drove and enjoyed the beautiful countryside. The weather was nice and it was a very relaxing day.

This one is for the soldiers...

I was inspired to do a painting for our soldiers. I actually made this painting for my father. He served many years in the military and had a wonderful career. We also got the opportunity to travel the world as a family and meet so many awesome people. I think it is so important that we remember our soldiers and continue to pray for them everyday. So, here is a special thanks to our devoted soldiers!

What do you get when you combine three HOT cities?

HOUSTATLANTAVEGAS! I really had a lot of fun with this painting. I love the contrast of the three bright colors with the black letters. It's just an overall fun and funky Letter Décor piece. It's pretty different than any of the other ones that I have created. Well, enjoy and continue to check my blog for more updates!

Letter Décor is Now in Stores!!!

I am proud to finally say  that my work is now in stores!
I am so pleased with everything... I remember about a year ago I showcased my work at a free art show held at the local library. Now, almost one year later, my work is now in the cutest little store in Summerville, South Carolina. It's a home that has been transformed into "The Tea Farm Cottage"--the store is filled with interesting finds, antiques and unique pieces of art.

I created only three paintings to start off with. Each painting comes with it's own hangtag which has a little information about the company, contact info and a QR code for easy access to the website. Filling out all the paperwork and  placing the paintings in the store for the first time was really exhilarating!
